I recently sowed some New Zealand spinach in a pot. The seeds where just beginning to germinate when disaster hit.
Caterpillars.

The Caterpillar population has exploded in Adelaide this winter.
I will have to re-sow and hope that the caterpillars have moved on.

I just love that photo. It looks so clear sorry about the spinach.
Is that photo doctored or just as the caterpillar was? Lovely!
wow…it looks like a green version of that funny looking elephant that use to be on sesame street….mr. snuffalupagus..lol
Oh, too bad. Did the caterpillar get the same powers as Popeye?
oh my word!!!! I name him “Jimmy Gumball” and he shall be my pet!!!!
Sorry about the spinach, but that is a beautiful caterpillar!! Any idea what kind of butterfly he will become?? Maybe that will be beautiful, too.
Oh, what heartbreak!!! I think that caterpillar is giving us a very saucy look in the picture. Great shot of the villain, red-handed… I guess hand-picking is the only way to avoid another tragedy? Maybe spray with bT?? Don’t let ‘em get you down.
